MISSION

Major Risks

Major risks are a combination of natural or technological events with human, economic and environmental consequences. Natural events (natural disasters) are the result of the earth’s constant geological and climatic evolution (earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods). As for technological events, they are due to the industrial activity of man, who by negligence or imprudence threatens his environment and endangers his fellow citizens. These risks often have dramatic consequences for mankind. (loss of life, property losses…)

Vision

Reduce the major risks and promote sustainable development for a safer world.

Scope of Services

Archirisk proposes various services for assisting organizations, public or private institutions and companies to better understand and control past or future risk.

The field of intervention is organized into 5 fields :

  • Disaster prevention through the reduction of risk.
  • Risk assessment as part of project conception.
  • Reducing vulnerability of existing structures (urban and buildings).
  • Crisis management for natural or human generated disasters: evaluation, safety measures…
  • Emergency shelter and reconstruction including that carried out by the local population.

Philosophy

Major risk management does not pretend to eliminate natural or technology events. Archirisk seeks to mitigate the effects of natural activity and that of man in relation to what is at stake. Our thinking promotes an ecological approach but also one where the concerned population contributes to his own safety.
